When you are doing conversion optimization, copy tests should be a KEY part of your strategy.
Your headlines, sub-headlines, button labels and button triggers should be very high on your priority list of elements to test on. They can totally make or break your page.
I've run simple copy tests, such as tweaking just a few words on the button or headline, only to get double digits uplifts because they hit the right angle the website's visitors were looking for.
