How Your Website Colors Can Impact Your Conversions

You bet it does!

When doing conversion rate optimization, I wouldn't lose much time on testing things like button colors and website background. That being said, there is an exception to this and this is when the button color doesn't stand out on the page.

I've seen client sites where the logo is red, the navigation bar is red, the headlines and sub-headlines are red, links are red AND the calls-to-action are also red. In cases like this, I would certainly test a button color that stands out, like a green or blue.

I think in a general sense, it's more the matching of the colors that make a difference. Colors that don't clash, ans specifically colors that work well together to highlight the important parts of a page (i.e. where you want your users to look most).
